Hi, I thought that since I got Metastock working, I would share it.
I run Vista 32 bit for your reference. These installation instructions
should help you get a good clean install of Metastock, MLDownloader
and all the plug-in's that I have uploaded. I have included screen
shots to show that it's all working properly. All uploads are my own.
It should be ok for stocks, commidities, bonds, etc.

NOTE TO VISTA USERS:
I did run into one problem trying to install Metastock Professional
on my Vista laptop. Metastock is supposed to be Vista compatible
since v10.1 and, well, it is as long as you know how to get it installed.

When I tried to install it, I would run the set up and all I would get
was the whorling icon next to my mouse pointer for about 10 seconds,
then nothing would happen. This has happened to many users and it took
me awhile to find the answer so I will share it with you in case you
have the same problem.

Click: start
Enter in search box: msconfig
Hit: enter key
This will load the "System Configuration" tool
Click: tools tab
Scroll down to 4th from bottom: highlight "Disable UAC"
Click: launch button
Close: command screen (DOS screen)
Click: ok to close System Configuration tool
Reboot PC

OK, now you are ready to install Metastock v10.1.

Just run the "setup" program and you should not have
any problems. After it has installed you should open
Metastock.

When asked to activate your copy, choose the "Unlock via
telephone or e-mail" method. Run the "keygen" program.

Copy and paste the Installation ID into the top box in the
keygen. Click the "Generate Key" button. Copy the "Unlocking
Key" code into Metastock and click "Install License".
You should now have an unlocked copy of Metastock.

I would suggest to install the plug-ins that you think
you would need or might want to try out. I have put together
the following list of plug-ins. There are some extra ones here
that are not in the common plug-in download that I have seen
previously. I have loaded almost all of these and have not had
any issues. They either run by setup executable program or they
need to be imported from inside of Metastock. Here is the list

Now that you have Metastock and it's plug-in's installed, you need a data service.
Metastock is worthless unless you have the quotes and pricing information that you need.

I have installed and used MLDownloader v6.8.0.20 and had no issues with it downloading
data or importing it to Metastock. Download it here:

Once installed, you need to replace two files (rename the original file and replace it with
the cracked files). It should work now. Here is a screen shot of the registration screen
of MLDownloader:

Just to make sure that everything is working, and since I trade commodities, I will give
a short explanation of how to load new symbols into MLDownloader and how to pull up
the data in Metastock.

First, you need to have a list of (either stock or commodity or whatever) symbols.
Since I trade commodities, here is a list of them and their symbols:

Next you will need to convert them to MLDownloader format. Use this handy Excel
spreadsheet tool to do that (remember to have macro's enabled):
