One thing I left out in the .nfo is that when you start the install, it asks if you want to check for updates-- SAY NO, for we know they'll figure out this patch sooner or later. Also, it asks you for a serial.
If you just click next, it's good for a 15 day trial. Then after install completes, you reboot and apply the patch- make sure you shut down the acronis process with"Task Manager". Copy the patch to the Acronis Directory under Program Files or Program Files x86(x64 bit). Run the patch, it patches the program and tells you if successful. Then delete the patch as some AV may find it and tell you it's a trojan later, like so many AV's. I usually exclude my program files from the AV scans for just this reason. I also like to block the acronis.exe from accessing the internet w/ my firewall. I'm not sure it phones home, but it's best not to take a chance and do not UPDATE it.
